With NFL Draft jus around the corner, Johnny Manziel is starting to get more and more attention and that seems to make more and more people angry at him. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact reason people dislike Johnny Football but that nickname may be a jumping off point.
NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders seems to have cracked the code on why there is so much Manziel hate in the world. While speaking on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Sanders was asked what he thought about Manziel and he noted that he has ‘ghetto tendencies’ that turn people off.
I love Johnny Football. See, the reason people won’t accept Johnny Football is because Johnny Football has ghetto tendencies … Because he was successful, he made it, and he let you all know he made it, and he was cocky, he was flamboyant, and he let you know.
It’s true that Manziel is cocky, flamboyant and very in-your-face about his success, there term ‘ghetto tendencies’ is a new one being applied to Manziel. No matter how you classify his actions and antics, only one thing will matter at the NFL level and that’s if he can play.
The only tendencies that NFL coaches care about will be Manziel’s tendencies to throw more touchdowns than interceptions.
