Dirk Nowitzki thinks Mavs' last 7 games will be close

The Dallas Mavericks went a disappointing 4-4 in an eight-game home stretch and they’re fighting for a playoff spot in the tough Western Conference. The Mavericks could’ve been 7-1 and had several close games in that stretch and Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki said he expects some more close games down the final stretch of the regular season.

“Yeah, we got to win the games we have,” Nowitzki said, via the Dallas Morning News. “We don’t want to put it on everybody else and say this guy has to lose and this thing has to happen.

“We want to win those close games. We feel like we should have won at least two of those four close ones we lost on the homestand and we’d be right there at six. We got to be better. Out of the seven [left], there probably will be seven close ones.”
