LSU DE Jordan Allen is looking to transfer

According to Tiger Rag, LSU defensive end Jordan Allen is looking to transfer to a new program.

Allen, a fifth-year senior, told Tiger Rag that he felt his classes at LSU didn’t align with his overall educational goals, and that he’d be better served by pursuing a graduate degree at another school:

“Schooling is a big thing. If I’m going to be in school taking classes, I don’t want to be pursuing something that I don’t know the end to – which is what I feel like I’m doing right now as far as the classes that I’m taking right now. It’s not really the classes, but it’s the path I’m on, I don’t really know what it is.

“The fact that I’m able to pursue a graduate degree is really huge, because I want everything I do in life to mean something.”

As far as transfer destinations, Allen said his only restrictions are a) he can’t transfer to an SEC school and b) he can’t transfer to any non-SEC program LSU is scheduled to play in 2014.
