The New York Giants may have signed Rashad Jennings this offseason, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to forget about David Wilson.

Returning from neck surgery, the Giants say they’re ‘counting’ on Wilson this season:

"Tom Coughlin says he’s “counting on” RB David Wilson this year, but can he? “Just pray,” Coughlin said. “All in due time with David. Just pray. You’re praying that he has a return to excellent health and that the doctors are totally convinced that he is recovered and ready to go. When that time comes, you’ll have another contributor who, if he gets a step, he’s gone."

While the Giants might be ‘counting’ on Wilson, it’s hard to tell how he’ll react to NFL hits after his operation and the Giants didn’t sign Jennings to sit on the bench. That said, if Wilson can return to his former form, he’ll at least find himself in a change of pace scenario and possibly a little more.

Either way, looks as if the putrid Giants running attack will be far improved this season.
