While Jared Allen says he holds no ill-will towards the Minnesota Vikings organization, he knows he’ll have a target on his back when he returns to his former home this season and expects to hear it from the fans.

"“Minnesota has great fans so they’re going to boo me,” Allen said.  “Absolutely.  I’m sure I’ll get some cheers later but absolutely they’re going to boo and why shouldn’t they?  I now play for a division rival but I love the fans in Minnesota, I had six phenomenal years there. That organization, that state will always be a part of my life and again there is nothing but respect and joy and everything so it’ll be a fun time to play back against them but yeah I expect some boos.”"

In a bit of an odd way, Allen all but praises Vikings fans the notion of potentially booing him and frankly, he has a point.

While I’m sure Allen will get a rousing ovation when he comes out of the tunnel, soon as the whistle blows he becomes a bitter rival.
