Free-agent wide receiver Nate Burleson is on a whirlwind tour checking out prospective new teams and after meeting with the Miami Dolphins will travel to visit the Cleveland Browns who will host the former Detroit Lions receiver on Saturday.

In addition to the Dolphins, the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans have been rumored to express an interest in the 32-year-old veteran.
If Burleson and the Browns come to an agreement it likely will be on a one-year deal near the veteran’s minimum. He would be a valuable addition because of his leadership which would be beneficial for blossoming star Josh Gordon and potentially Sammy Watkins if the team drafts him in the 2014 NFL draft.
Burleson was released by the Lions after recording 39 receptions for 461 yards and a touchdown in nine games.
