Live in Chicago and want to check out a baseball game up close and personal? You might want to head over to the South Side because there was nobody at the Chicago White Sox game today.

The White Sox, who hosted the Minnesota Twins, were playing in relatively blustery conditions, so understandably that was going to have some fans shy away from going to the game. Add in that it was a day game on a Thursday, well, that’s another factor going against the White Sox. But seriously, is there even ten thousand people in attendance?

We’ll find out after the game once the White Sox release their attendance figures but judging from some of the pictures on social media sites, they may be hard pressed to break that total.

Keep in mind, there are players on the field in position in the above photos, so the game is in the midst of action.

Even worse? The crowd is about the same size (maybe a touch smaller) than Wednesday’s game which saw 10,625 in paid game tickets (not the amount of people that showed up).

Yikes. And we’re just a handful of games into the season. Hopefully things perk up in the seats when the sun comes out and the wind calms down.
