2013 was a magical year for the Boston Red Sox and it was a run that the people of the city needed. After the unfortunate incident at the Boston Marathon a few months prior, the fans needed something like this to take their mind off the tragedy, and the Red Sox pulled through with the run through the Major League Baseball playoffs.

On Friday, the team will be honored for that tremendous World Series win over the St. Louis Cardinals with these amazing rings that they can wear for the rest of their lives to commemorate the accomplishment.

It seems that every year, in every sport, these pieces of jewelry just seem to get nicer and nicer, and these are absolutely no different.

Slugger David Ortiz and the rest of his Red Sox teammates will be handed their gifts on Friday prior to their 2014 home opener at Fenway Park as they embark on the repeat campaign.

If you’re looking for Red Sox tickets, they are still available for the opening series.
