The Boston Red Sox are at home for the first time this season on Friday as they continue their defense of their world championship.
Today was a day of adulation in Boston, as the team received their World Series rings and unveiled the title banner, leaving fans and the players very happy.
Well, they were happy until the Milwaukee Brewers’ Jonathan Lucroy stepped to the plate.
Lucroy stepped up in the top of the second inning and absolutely tattooed the pitch from Jake Peavy, sending it over the Green Monster and into the parking lot.
Now if you’re going to take a ball over the Green Monster, that’s exactly how you do it. Knock it right out into the streets of Boston.
