IN the span of just under 24 hours, both head coaches who took their teams to the Super Bowl this past season have inked contact extensions. After Pete Carroll added more years to his deal with the Seattle Seahawks, the Denver Broncos have handed John Fox an extension through the 2016 season.

Fox has taken a team to the Super Bowl in the span of ten years as he brought the Carolina Panthers to their first ever Super Bowl back in 2004 and he returned this past season with the Broncos.

There are well respected head coaches around the NFL and Fox is right up there with the best of them. It’s not a surprise that he was able to take a team with Peyton Manning to the Super Bowl and it’s also not a surprise that he’s sticking around Denver for a very long time.
