Kyung Ho Kang injured; Chico Camus vs. Chris Holdsworth set for UFC 173

A planned bantamweight bout between Kyung Ho Kang and Chris Holdsworth for UFC 173 has been forced to undergo a change following news on Friday night that the South Korean has been forced to withdraw from the bout due to an undisclosed injury suffered in training.

With Kang out of the bout, Holdsworth was left without an opponent, but Roufusport’s Chico Camus has stepped up on short notice to take the bout to face Holdsworth, who was the bantamweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter season 18.

UFC officials confirmed the change.

Holdsworth is currently undefeated at 5-0, while Camus (14-4) is currently riding a two-fight winning streak including a win over Kang.

UFC 173 will be taking place May 24, 2014 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas
