OL TJ Haney of Gaffney Friday announced a commitment to Wake Forest over Vanderbilt. Haney visited both schools recently including a trip to Vanderbilt last weekend.
Haney is the third player from the state in the 2015 class to make his college commitment joining DE Shameik Blackshear of Bluffton (USC) and OL Noah Green of Boiling Springs (Clemson).
The 6’6, 315-pound Haney attends Gaffney High School in Gaffney, South Carolina.
He is ranked as the 85th best offensive tackle prospect, the 18th best overall prospect in the state of South Carolina and the 786th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Haney chose the Demon Deacons over offers from the Marshall Thundering Herd, Old Dominion Big Blue and Vanderbilt Commodores, among several others.
