Over the last few seasons, the Alabama Crimson Tide have consistently fielded one of the nation’s elite offensive line (and everywhere else, too).
On Friday, 4-star offensive lineman Richie Petitbon committed to the Tide.
Charles Power of 24/7 Sports has the scoop.
Petitbon shared the following statement via Facebook.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many Coaches who I have met, and who have reached out to me during this past year of recruiting.
“It is with great pride and excitement that I announce that I have chosen the University of Alabama as my school for the next four years.
“I would like to thank all my Coaches at Gonzaga and the entire student body. Alabama has been a special place to me since my first visit last summer. The campus, student body, and the wonderful southern hospitality has been great. Thanks to Coach (Nick) Saban, Coach Lance Thompson, and Coach Mario Cristobal. Roll Tide!!!!”
The 6’4, 301-pound Petitbon attends Gonzaga High School in Washington, D.C.
He is ranked as the fourth best guard prospect, the top prospect in D.C. and the 96th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Petitbon also had offers from the Florida State Seminoles and the Tennessee Volunteers, among others.
