Kentucky’s Willie Cauley-Stein out for rest of 2014 NCAA Tournament

After suffering an injury and being taken out of the Sweet 16 match up against the Louisville Cardinals, the status of Kentucky Wildcats sophomore big man Willie-Cauley Stein has been one of the main topics of discussion, especially heading into the Final Four match up Saturday against Wisconsin.

However, there will be no more questions as CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson stated moments ago that she talked to Cauley-Stein and he will indeed not be playing tonight against the Badgers. Furthermore, should Kentucky win tonight, he will also be out for the national championship game on Monday night.

Cauley-Stein didn’t bring a significant difference to this Kentucky team, but now the pressure is on Julius Randle to perform on the inside even more without him helping on the low block.

So if Kentucky is going to win this title eventually, they’re going to have to do so without the services of Cauley-Stein.
