NFL Rumors: Jacksonville Jaguars may offer Alex Mack over $22M guaranteed

The Cleveland Browns can’t seem to get anywhere with transition tagged center Alex Mack as contract talks have stalled and are going nowhere. As a result, the Jacksonville Jaguars have re-enterted the hunt for him and could be setting up a deal that would land the center in the AFC South at a hefty price.

While the Browns would have the chance to match any offer given to Mack, it’s being reported that the Jaguars could top shelf the the deal with $22 million guaranteed over three years, putting it out of Cleveland’s reach.

No offer sheet has yet been extended by the Jaguars to Mack, but such a scenario is seeming more and more likely as the next 24 hours could see resolution come to the Alex mack saga and it could be resolution that lands him down south in Jacksonville.

If they want him that bad, have him. That is ridiculous money. Go choke on it. Jags will still suck.

as the Browns are already offering over $10M guaranteed for just one season,

i’d be shocked if they wouldn’t match $12M more for 2 additional years.
it seems more likely that they are allowing other teams to negotiate with their player-

who they are having trouble coming to terms with, but can still match any offer given.
