After a great 2014 NCAA Women’s Tournament once again, it’s time to find out who will be playing for the national championship, and things will get kicked off on Sunday with a match up between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Maryland Terrapins.
Notre Dame was the top seed in their region, and they proved that was more than deserving with their performance in the tournament, and by the fact that they have yet to lose a game this season. However, they were dealt a crushing blow in this one as they’ll be without top scorer Natalie Achonwa, who was lost to a torn ACL this past week, making it a little more difficult to maintain that unbeaten record.
Maryland needed all they could in the Louisville Region final against the Louisville Cardinals, but they had just enough to walk away with the win.
Here’s how you can watch all the action live on Sunday:
Date: April 6
Start Time: 6:30 PM ET
Location: Nashville, TN
Arena: Bridgestone Arena
TV Info: ESPN
