Nats' Ryan Zimmerman shows no structural damage

The results are back and they’re at least optimistic.

After undergoing an MRI for shoulder pain over the weekend, the Washington Nationals were anxious to hear what may have been ailing their All-Star third baseman. The results that came back weren’t entirely conclusive, but they did not show any structural damage to Zimmerman’s right shoulder. Dan Kolko of MASN passed on word from manager Matt Williams that Zimmerman will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.

As he awaited the results of the MRI, Zimmerman pinch-hit for Tyler Clippard in the bottom of the 8th inning and struck out.
