There is no secret that the Miami Dolphins offensive line leaves a lot to be desired and their goal during the offseason will be to continue adding to add talent leading up to the beginning of the regular season which is expected to include selecting a top prospect with their first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Many links have been drawn between the Dolphins and Notre Dame offensive lineman Zack Martin, but it appears that their target may be a different tackle.
According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins “would be thrilled” if they were able to land Michigan Wolverines standout Taylor Lewan with the No. 19 pick. Miami desperately needs to add someone who can play right tackle for the team, and Lewan could be a day one starter.
If the team loses out on Lewan and is forced to look in a different direction, they will likely just turn their attention to the next best prospect at the position.
