3-star WR Akilian Butler commits to Boise State Broncos

It has been a good couple of days for the Boise State Broncos.

Over the weekend, the Broncos hosted their annual junior day.

First, they received a commitment from 4-star quarterback Brett Rypien, the nephew of former Washington Redskins’ Super Bowl hero, Mark Rypien.

Then, 3-star linebacker Kyler Manu decided to stay in state, making his pledge to the Broncos.

Now, 3-star wide receiver Akilian Butler has hopped the train, committing to the Broncos on Monday.

Justin Hopkins of 24/7 Sports has the scoop.

On Monday West Mesquite (Texas) wide receiver Akilian Butler decided to verbally commit to Boise State.

Our source at West Mesquite confirmed the verbal commitment to 247Sports and also mentioned he may still take other visits despite the commitmen

The 5’11, 172-pound Butler attends West Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas.

He is ranked as the 89th best wide receiver prospect, the 101st best overall prospect in the state of Texas and the 785th best overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

He chose the Broncos over offers from the Clemson Tigers and Colorado Buffaloes, among others.
