Each week, FanSided will be ranking the NBA rookies based on their performance so far this season.
The 2013 rookie class is one that has been heavily criticized. Even as the 2013 draft was taking place, it seemed like pundits and fans alike were more interested in the 2014 NBA draft that would include the likes of Kansas Jayhawks’ forward Andrew Wiggins, Duke Blue Devils’ forward Jabari Parker, Oklahoma State Cowboys’ point guard Marcus Smart and Australian point guard Dante Exum.
This rookie class has certainly had their ups and downs and won’t be remembered as one of the all-time great classes, but plenty of players continue to produce and many of them should go on have excellent careers.
Falling off of the list is Boston Celtics’ center Kelly Olynyk in favor of Minnesota Timberwolves’ center Gorgui Dieng. Dieng, the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for March, continues to play well.
Mason Plumlee of the Brooklyn Nets and Pero Antic of the Atlanta Hawks fall just short of making this week’s list.
