NBA Rumors: Kentucky's John Calipari headed to Lakers regardless of outcome tonight

Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari has the chance to win his second NCAA Mens Division I Championship in three years, making him a hot commodity on the coaching market. On Monday, former player and current television color analyst Rex Chapman had an interesting tweet saying he heard Calipari is headed to Los Angeles to become the new head coach of the Lakers, regardless of the outcome of tonight’s championship game.

Now this is just a rumor and I don’t know if you could bank on this report, not saying that Chapman isn’t credible. Calipari has been linked to various NBA jobs and many think that he will be headed to the league, and him receiving offers would be expected. Calipari has also been linked to the New York Knicks job.
