The 2014 NCAA Tournament has now officially come to a close, and the seven seed UConn Huskies are the national champions of college basketball.
It wasn’t easy by any means, but behind the 22 points of Shabazz Napier–the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player–the Huskies were able to hold off the young Wildcats and claim the first national championship of the Kevin Ollie era.
Speaking of Ollie, it had to be a wonderful feeling for him to touch that trophy in just his second season as the head coach, as he did here:
And of course, the players had their turn with the hardware:
It was a magical run for UConn in the month of March, and there was no better way to cap it all off.
