True Detective parody by Pete Holmes (Video)

True Detective absolutely was a smash hit in every sense of the word for HBO as it had fans coming back every Sunday night as Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson’s characters Rust Cohle and Marty Hart delved deeper into the seedy underbelly of the Bayou as the two become entangled during a 17-year hunt for a deranged serial killer.

The eight-episode season is sure to garner the pair of actors Emmy nominations and the show is a good bet to take home the honor of best drama and the patience for many is already wearing thin as they await the cast and storyline for season two.

In the meantime Pete Holmes came out with his parody on his YouTube channel of the dark and mysterious crime drama with the title, “Rust Hates Everything.”

Enjoy the 5:49 of this clip that happens to be a spon on parody of McConaughey’s character from the show and just make sure you don’t offer Rust a piece of gum, because, well, he hates everything.

The Pete Holmes Show airs on TBS from Monday-Thursday after Conan at midnight/11 p.m. CT.
