After an outstanding sophomore season that saw him named the 2014 ACC Player of the Year, North Carolina State Wolfpack guard T.J. Warren officially declared for the NBA Draft on Tuesday through a release from the school.
“I would like to thank my coaches and teammates at NC State for allowing me to compete for this great university. It’s been a fun ride the last few years. I’ve had some great experiences and now I feel I’m ready to play at the next level. Playing in the NBA has been a lifelong dream of mine and playing at NC State has prepared me well to achieve my dream.”
Warren was one of the most dominating offensive forces in the nation this season, averaging 24.9 points per game in leading the Wolfpack to an NCAA Tournament appearance, after they had upset the Syracuse Orange in the ACC Tournament.
This was a move that was widely expected to happen after the year Warren had on the court, and after some good workouts, he could cement himself as a first-round pick, easy.
