College baseball rankings: Week 8 College Baseball Central poll released; LSU jumps into Top 10

The 2014 college baseball season is quickly moving along here, and the Week 8 college baseball standings by the folks at College Baseball Central have been released.

This week, the LSU Tigers made a jump into the Top 10 after they swept the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a three-game series.

Also, after a 4-0 week, the Florida State Seminoles took the top billing in these particular rankings, pushing them to the top of the college baseball world in most standings.

Here’s a look at the complete Top 25 for Week 8:

There is still a lot of time left in this college baseball season, but right now, Florida State most certainly is the team to beat, if they can finally get over the hump of those College World Series woes that creep up every season.
