The UConn Huskies destroyed Notre Dame tonight 79-58 to win their 9th National Championship. Thats an amazing accomplishment in it’s own right and then when you add in the men’s team title win, it’s even sweeter for the school. Here is the list of Geno’s nine title teams:

1994–95: 35–0, 18–0 NCAA Champions

1999-2000: 36-1 16-0 NCAA Champions

2001–02: 39–0, 16–0 NCAA Champions

2002–03 : 37–1, 16–0 NCAA Champions

2003–04: 31–4, 14–2  NCAA Champions

2008–09: 39–0, 16–0 NCAA Champions

2009–10: 39–0 16–0 NCAA Champions

2012–13: 35–4 14–2 NCAA Champions

2013–14: 40–0 18–0 NCAA Champions

Geno now has one more National Championship than his longtime rival Pat Summitt. It would also be a shame to not mention some of the incredible players he has coached like Rebecca Lobo, Sue Bird, Swin Cash, Diana Taurasi, Maya Moore, and Stefanie Dolson.

Congrats to the Huskies.
