Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Getting a Special Guest Star for the Season Finale

Before you read any further, just know that there are going to be spoilers for both Captain America: The Winter Soldier as well as possibly tonight’s episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Season Finale. If you don’t wish for any of those to be potentially spoiled for you, you may want to return at a later date.

Seriously…this is your last chance.

So, tonight’s all-new episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. looks as if it is going to be a real game changer. Agent Coulson and the team have been hot on the heels of the Clairvoyant for quite some time now, and unfortunately, they have come up with a pretty startling revelation. The Clairvoyant isn’t someone with powers of foresight; they are someone with security clearance. This means that the Clairvoyant is someone within the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Now, Marvel has already said that tonight’s episode is going to be a direct result of the events that played out in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. While the end of Captain America makes the future of the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization look pretty bleak, they have assured us that it is all connected, and that it is going to be epic.

Well, it turns out that the Season Finale of the series, which is currently set for May 13th, will be getting a pretty special guest star. According to Vulture, Nick Fury himself will be making a guest appearance in the finale.

The site caught up with Jackson at the premiere of his wife’s play A Raisin in the Sun, and they asked him if there was a possibility of him filming another Nick Fury cameo in S.H.I.E.L.D. That is when the news broke.

“I did! Last week! I just shot the end-of-the-season show.” He told Vulture. “You’re trying to get me fired and killed! I don’t talk about Marvel’s business. None of us do.”

Now, this is going to be pretty interesting given Fury’s status at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but as they have said on numerous occasions, it’s all connected. Therefore, nothing is ever truly impossible.

Who do you think the traitor in their midst is? Does this person have an even more significant role in the issues S.H.I.E.L.D. is having right now? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Tuesday nights at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
