NBA Rumors: Indiana Pacers will allow some players to rest before postseason

Although LeBron James of the Miami Heat said he doesn’t need to rest before the NBA’s postseason, fellow Eastern Conference foe, the Indiana Pacers aren’t confiding in the same strategy.

According to Pacers head coach Frank Vogel, not all members of the Pacers will play in their Tuesday evening matchup against the lowly Milwaukee Bucks.

Vogel on tomorrow: “Not everybody will play. We’ll pick our spots over the final four games to get the guys that need rest some rest.”

Two players who are likely to see a night off are Paul George and David West, both of whom came to Vogel recently and asked for a minor breather.

There’s no better team to sit against than the Bucks, who are losing at a historically bad pace and the Pacers (despite their own recent struggles) shouldn’t find too much issue with the Bucks, even short handed.

Vogel did not go on to say if he would continue to rest players during Indiana’s remaining games, though if he’s opted to do it once he’s likely to ponder doing it again.
