We are now just under four months away from the release of the new Marvel superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy. It has been a little while since we have seen any movement from the film. At the end of February, Marvel went on a bit of a binge-releasing spree unveiling new and awesome inside looks at the film. Then in March, they revealed just a little more in Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe. Now, thanks to the good people over at MTV, we have a new clip from the film to get us excited all over again.
In the beginning of the clip, we watch as Peter Quill, otherwise known as Star-Lord, is attempting to remove an artifact from a building when he is interrupted by Korath the Pursuer. Unfortunately, Star-Lord isn’t near as infamous as he seems to think he is as Korath has no idea who he is.
After Star-Lord attempts to make his escape from Korath and his men, the trailer cuts to a montage of some of the more action-packed moments in the film.
Based on what I have seen so far from Marvel, I am excited to see this film. I am loving the visuals thus far, Star-Lord seems on par with his sarcasm, and the action looks pretty on-point. Unfortunately, there is still quite a bit of time until fans get to see the Guardians on the big screen.
In the meantime, here is a look at the upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy courtesy of MTV.
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and the voice talents of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket Raccoon and Groot. The film also stars Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Djimon Hounsou, and many more.
Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled to be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and Conventional Theaters on August 1, 2014.
