Last week, New York Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh said that he expected to return before the start of the playoffs. On Tuesday, McDonagh’s head coach gave another update on the stud blue-liner’s status.
According to Dan Rosen of NHL.com, though McDonagh skated with the team during practice on Tuesday, Alain Vigneault won’t commit to McDonagh being back for any of the final three regular season games.
Vigneault says he's 50-50 on whether McDonagh will play before playoffs. Kreider has a cast on so he is out indefinitely.

McDonagh has been out since April 1 when he suffered an upper-body injury against Vancouver.
