There has been so much talk this season about will the Lakers keep or fire Mike D’Antoni after the season. The Lakers have obviously had a bad season even though they weren’t expected to make any real noise this season. Add into the mix that they have not been healthy at all and you have a recipe for disaster.

Steve Nash has defended D’Antoni before and he was feeling reflective when he dropped this line:

John Wooden is regarded as one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time and won 10 national championships in 12 seasons, including seven in a row. He also led the Bruins to 88 wins in a row for those of you too young to remember or without Google.

Nash is right though, no one can save these Lakers. That probably won’t stop them from firing him.
