Bellator 115 medical suspensions released

Bellator 115 went down this past Friday night to a packed crowd in Reno, Nevada. In the main event of the evening, Vitaly Minakov defended his Bellator Heavyweight championship by defeating Cheick Kongo by unanimous decision after five hard fought rounds.

Minakov could be out for up to six months without a doctor’s clearance according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s medical suspensions. His suspension was 180 days, but it will likely be shortened if a doctor clears his shoulder injury.

Half of the fighters on the card were given medical suspensions by the NSAC, which you can view below (Courtesy of MMAJunkie):

Vitaly Minakov: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days. Additionally, must have left shoulder cleared or no contact for 180 days.
Justin Baesman: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.
Herman Terrado: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for left cheek laceration.
Rudy Morales: Suspended 90 days unless right hand is cleared by doctor. Otherwise, no contest for 180 days.
Jimmy Jones: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 60 days for scalp laceration.
Rick Reeves: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for right cheek laceration.
James Terry: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days for right cheek laceration.
Freddie Aquitania: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 45 days. Additionally, must have nose cleared by ENT and right elbow cleared by doctor or no contest for 180 days.
