Clayton Kershaw could return to Los Angeles Dodgers in May

Los Angeles Dodgers’ ace Clayton Kershaw is dealing with a back injury. The team will surely take the cautious route with Kershaw as he works his way back, especially considering the fact that just this year they inked him to a massive $215 million extension.

According to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports, Kershaw proceeded with his throwing program on Wednesday, making good progress.

And while all parties are taking their time with the process, Morosi hinted that a return in May would still be a possibility.

Possible, sure, but here’s guessing that a June return is more likely, if not even later. As long as the Dodgers are OK in the standings, which they should be with their depth, there is no reason to rush Kershaw at the possible expense of losing him again later in the season. That is especially true given the fact that his is a back injury, as teams are almost always cautious when dealing with back and core injuries.
