Jim Kelly finishes first round of chemotherapy
By Josh Sanchez
The family of Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly have been open about the challenge he has been facing as he begins another fight with oral cancer. On Tuesday, Kelly began his chemotherapy in an effort to become cancer free, and his wife, Jill, has provided everyone with the update that Kelly’s first round of chemo is complete.
Over the course of the next six weeks, Kelly will undergo daily radiation treatments and two more rounds of chemotherapy.
Before the treatment began, Kelly’s doctor described the cancer as “very treatable and potentially curable,” which is a great sign for Kelly as he attempts to stay in good spirits and fight through this tough time.
