In what may be a preview of a first round pairing between the Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh Penguins, Marc-Andre Fleury made an absolutely ridiculous save to preserve the shootout win for the Pens to deny Daniel Alfredsson a goal in the shootout.

The Wings clinched their 23rd consecutive playoff appearance in the shootout loss tonight and with 91 points are in position to face the Penguins in the first round of the playoffs based on the new playoff format.

Therefore, we will see a rematch of the 2008 and 2009 Stanley Cup Final between as the Wings make their first postseason appearance in the Eastern Conference.

The Penguins fell to the Wings in 2008, but got revenge the next year in a thrilling seven game series as Fleury and Maxime Talbot hoisted the Cup.

If Fleury is on the top of his game he is capable of leading the Pens back to the Final, but if the Wings get Zetterberg back for the postseason it could make for an interesting first round affair and a potential upset.
