Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury isn’t just known for being one of the best coaches in NCAA football, he’s also known for being a Ryan Gosling doppleganger.
One probably wouldn’t think his celebrity looks would ever help him in terms of recruiting talent to Texas Tech, but they’d be wrong as Kingsbury not only stated that mothers of recruits have flirted with them before – he encourages is.
Appearing on the Dan LeBatard Show, Kingsbury hinted you have to work what you’ve got.
The first question Kingsbury was asked was if any single moms of recruits have flirted with him, and the coach was open.
“Yeah,” he said, laughing. “You’ve got to play to your strengths. So I kind of encourage that a little bit. It’s part of the deal.”
Past the absolutely hilarity of that, I have to wonder how many times players have become irritated at such. Obviously it’s not something that happens all the time, but that would just be a little odd to have your soon-to-be potential college football coach flirting with your mom.
Doesn’t make it any less awesome for us as fans though.
