College Football Recruiting: 3-star DE Daishon Neal commits to Nebraska Cornhuskers

Just after pulling in a commitment from 3-star offensive guard Michael Decker, the Nebraska Cornhuskers landed another commitment on Wednesday when 3-star defensive end Daishon Neal gave his pledge to the Huskers.

The 6’8, 240-pound Neal made his announcement via his twitter account.

Like Decker, Neal is a local product, attending Omaha Central High School in Omaha, Nebraska.

Neal was offered on Wednesday and committed on the spot.

“It’s been a very exciting day,” Neal told Michael Bruntz of 24/7 Sports. “I knew the offer was coming but I did not know I would be making that decision today. However, me and my dad discussed it and this was my dream. I wanted to take this opportunity to become a Husker.”

Neal is ranked as the48th best strong side defensive end prospect, the third best overall prospect in the state of Nebraska and the 925th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
