Report: Daniel Cormier vs. Dan Henderson set for UFC 173 co-main event

There have been rumblings that undefeated light heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier could be added to the UFC’s Memorial Day Weekend event, and it appears that a decision has been made.

According to a report from Tatame.com, Cormier will take on Dan Henderson in the co-main event of UFC 173 on May 24.

It is an exciting bout that could vault either fighter to a title shot.

Current champion Jon Jones will defend his belt in two weeks at UFC 172 and he’s expected to make his next defense against Alexander Gustafsson, so the Cormier-Henderson winner could be next in line.

UFC 173, which is headlined by a bantamweight champion bout between current title holder Renan Barao and challenger T.J. Dillashaw, will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
