The Minnesota Gophers defeated the North Dakota Sioux in the final second of the national semifinal in the NCAA men’s hockey tournament to advance to the Frozen Four final which will take place Saturday evening at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Minnesota scored the game winning goal at the buzzer to get the win, but first it would need to be reviewed.

After the refs gathered around the monitors and took a close look at the replay, it was confirmed that the puck crossed the line and the Gophers were awarded the game-winning goal and a berth in the national championship game where they will take on the Union Dutchmen, who upset defending national champ Boston College earlier in the day.

Once the goal was confirmed, the North Dakota were understandably depressed and their reaction was priceless.
