All eyes will be on Kentucky freshman Julius Randle over the next few weeks, as the NBA world waits to see whether or not he will officially declare for the 2014 NBA Draft and bolt the Wildcats after just one year and a loss in the 2014 NCAA national championship.
If Randle declares, he is expected to be “a top five lock,” but there are contradicting reports.
A report surfaced on Wednesday that cited multiple sources claiming Randle would declare for the draft soon, but he has since denied those reports. Now, Randle’s mother has backed up his claim.
In a text message to The Courier-Journal, Randle’s mother, Carolyn Kyles, says that the Kentucky star has not yet made a decision and he plans to former Oklahoma star Jeff Webster, this weekend after discussing his future with his family and mentor, former Oklahoma star Jeff Webster, this weekend.
“As of today we’re not sure,” she added.
