On Wednesday night, reports surfaced that the Jacksonville Jaguars and free agent center Alex Mack agreed to terms on an offer sheet that will make him the highest paid center in the National Football League.
Mack’s offer sheet is expected to be official very soon, but it doesn’t mean that he will immediately become a member of the Jaguars.
The Cleveland Browns will have five days to match the offer sheet that Mack receives from Jacksonville once it is signed, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the team will waste no time in doing that.
Once it is signed, Browns figure to match Jacksonville’s five-year offer sheet to C Alex Mack “in no time at all”, per source.

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has previously hinted that the team will match any offer sheet for Mack, so this report falls right in line with those discussions.
Mack is one of the top centers in the game, and it appears that the Jaguars offer sheet will make sure that he is paid like one whether or not he joins the franchise.
