NFL Rumors: Philadelphia Eagles attempted to trade for Dion Jordan of Miami Dolphins
By Bryan Rose
The Philadelphia Eagles are in the midst of a mini re-tooling project and attempted to bring in Dion Jordan from the Miami Dolphins, this according to Bob Gortz.
Jordan, the number three overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft apparently has the eye of the Eagles brass who allegedly offered up Brandon Graham and a second round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft for the defensive end.
"Buried in the preoccupation with pass catchers is that the Eagles, according to a respected NFL source, made an offer almost two months ago for pass rusher Dion Jordan, who played spectacularly for Kelly at Oregon but hardly at all last season with the Miami Dolphins. The details are unimportant. The Eagles are said to have included a second-round pick and linebacker-defensive end Brandon Graham. For now Jordan is still part of the Dolphins, who say they’re going to find a way to get him more snaps next season."
That rumor isn’t the first time that Jordan has had his name linked to the Eagles this offseason, though it is strange to see the continued efforts without much movement from the Dolphins side.
For now, their interest in a potential Jordan trade is unknown though given no deal has happened yet, they’re clearly holding out for more or aren’t interested in a deal at all.
