Video: Matt Grice joins UFC Tonight to talk road to recovery

When people discuss a fighter’s spirit there is no need to look any further than Matt Grice. The former UFC Featherweight and OKC Police Officer is still on the road to recovery after a horrific accident in September of 2013 that nearly claimed his life.

On that night, Grice was rear-ended by a driver while sitting at a red light. The high speed of the collision ended up resulting in a multiple car pile up. The accident caused a traumatic brain injury for Grice, and multiple surgeries were needed to save his life.

Grice has made incredible strides in his healing process, and hopes to return to the police force in September. Last night, Grice joined the UFC Tonight crew alongside Kenny Florian and Chael Sonnen to discuss his road to recovery, how his life has changed, if he will ever return to the Octagon, and how he has learned to take nothing for granted.

Watch the video in it’s entirety below. Here is to wishing Matt and full and speedy recovery.
