In a move that shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise the Cleveland Browns have matched the offer sheet pro bowl center Alex Mack signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Adam Schefter.

The Browns had until midnight on Wednesday to match the five-year offer sheet signed earlier today worth $42 million dollars. The deal pays Mack who was slapped with the transition tag $10 million in his first season and $8 million the next four years.
Mack can void the final three years of deal with the promise he cannot be hit with the transition or franchise tags again and also includes a no-trade provision.
Mack has started all 80 games in his NFL career since being taken with the 21st pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft out of California. Even more impressive is the fact he hast not missed a single snap.
Mack was selected to both the 2010 and 2013 pro bowl teams and was a second team All-Pro last season.
