As we speak, the Miami Heat trail the Indiana Pacers for the top seed in the Eastern Conference by a half game. One would believe that Dwyane Wade would be on the floor for such a vital game, but that won’t be the case as Wade has been ruled out for the big game.
The contest will be the ninth straight that Wade has missed as he’s dealing with a reported hamstring issue.
Considering the nature of the game one is being lead to believe that Wade’s hamstring injury has to be rather serious given a loss here could very well end the Heat’s chances at the number one overall seed and homecourt throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Of course, the Heat certainly don’t want to put Wade in harms way and if he’s still experiencing pain (which he obviously is) there’s no need to risk further damage, but it has to be a concern going into the postseason.
