The Golden State Warriors had a relatively easy task on Thursday night – defeat the struggling Denver Nuggets and lock yourself into the NBA playoffs.
But unfortunately the Warriors were unable to do either and they now sit just a game out of the Western Conference’s final playoff seed and two games out of the playoff picture all together.
Needless to say, they need all the help they can get in the final few games of the regular season but it may be without power forward David Lee who remains ‘out indefinitely’ according to CSN Bay Area.
PF David Lee (strained right hamstring) ran through individual drills before the game but did not play remains out indefinitely, as does C Festus Ezeli (right knee surgery rehab).
It’s a good sign that Lee was able to do some drills before the game, but the Warriors don’t want to risk any further injury to their star power forward and potential lose him for the playoffs. Of course, they still need to secure such a birth but all it’s going to take is one win or a Memphis loss to lock them in.
