The Cleveland Browns had a bit of a rough time with Alex Mack when it came to getting him a new contract but things have finally settled down. Cleveland transition tagged their Pro Bowl center and it took the Jacksonville Jaguars to facilitate a deal.

But now that a deal is done, everyone appears to be happy — well, except the Jaguars — as Alex Mack as come out to ensure there’s no bad blood between himself and the Browns.

Per the Cleveland Plain-Dealer:

“It’s been a long, hard road, but I’m here and I’m happy,” Mack told cleveland.com in an exclusive phone interview Saturday. “I’m excited. I’m fired up. There’s no bad blood. Now that it’s done, I’m happy.”

This is not only good news for Browns fans, but it’s further proof that money talks. But at the end of the day, despite the long period of time it took for the Browns to get a deal with Mack, he got the fat deal he wanted and the Browns won’t start the 2014 season down a Pro Bowl center.
