Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson — the man formerly known as “Ochocinco” — could soon be making a return to the football field. However, the 36 wideout won’t be stepping on to a field in the National Football League.
Instead, his comeback could be with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.
According to the Alouettes, they have been talking with Johnson recently and they plan to run him through a workout in the coming days.
“We do expect to meet with Chad & work him out in Florida this week. Talks did take place & have escalated over the last week.” -@JimPoppGM

Johnson has been out of the league since being cut by the Miami Dolphins in training camp following a domestic dispute, so it will be interesting to see if he has any tread left on the tires.
It is highly unlikely, but if Johnson were able to earn a spot with the Alouettes you may see a spike in CFL ratings.
