The Northwestern Wildcats finally got their first commitment in the class of 2015.
3-star inside linebacker Nathan Fox gave his pledge to the Wildcats on Friday.
“I get along very well with the great coaching staff,” Fox told Steve Wiltfong of 24/7 Sports. “I love a 4-3 defense, the success of the school and Chicago was an amazing city to see.”
Fox says his commitment is firm.
“I’m still going to train and compete to be the best linebacker recruit for 2015, but there are no other schools that will make me change my mind,” he said. “I want to be a Wildcat.”
The 6’2, 230-pounder is from Houston, Texas and attends Clear Lake High School.
Fox is ranked as the 35th best inside linebacker prospect, the 115th best overall prospect from the state of Texas and the 894th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Fox chose the Wildcats over offers from the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Utah Utes and Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He has also drawn interest from a few in-state schools, most notably the Baylor Bears.
