Report: Portland's Joel Freeland upgraded to 'questionable'

Injured Portland Trail Blazers center Joel Freeland has been upgraded from “game-time decision” to “questionable” for tomorrow night’s contest against the Golden State Warriors.

The news is certainly something Portland fans should find exciting. Freeland has missed the last 28 games due to a knee injury he suffered in February, but Portland coach Terry Stotts says the big man has played well during the team’s most recent scrimmages:

“He moved well, it didn’t look like he was favoring it. His conditioning wasn’t too bad. Today he went full court a little bit. I think he’s made good progress. This is the first time I’ve really seen him play. He’s done a lot of drills and things, but I thought he looked good.”

With playoff series against the Houston Rockets coming up, Freeland’s return, even if it is in a limited capacity, should provide Portland center Robin Lopez with some valuable moments of rest.
